An entertainer and performer since the mid 1990’s Oliver Doriss can be found DJing underground after parties, or crafting the vibe for gallery receptions and artist events. His his range of musical style allows him the flexibility to cater to both contemporary and sophisticated audiences. In addition to playing the latest tracks Oliver produces his own compositions and remixes paired with video collage and re-purposed imagery. Currently living in Tacoma Washington Oliver has a monthly residency at local venues.
In addition to music Oliver hosts and performs as Olivia Phaze with the burlesque troop Gritty City Sirens.
Oliver Doriss grew up in Massachusetts and comes from a musical household. His mother Elizabeth Doriss is Principal Oboist for The Cape Cod Symphony and a music teacher. This classical music upbringing exposed him to the amazing depths and complexities of symphonic structure. Oliver played a variety of instruments growing up but nothing really stuck until he discovered the art of DJ music.
Oliver is an accomplished visual arts Along with graduating from Massachusetts College of Art with a degree in sculpture & visual arts Oliver was greatly influenced by artist run spaces such as Fort Thunder, the A St. Lofts & The Distillery. These were exploring a fusion of visual art, performance and culture. Multimedia Performance and creates one of a kind events at Fulcrum Gallery
